Join an innovative outdoor business as a Development Manager

The Nikwax Group operates within the growing international Outdoor industry, providing a range of aftercare products for a variety of clothing, footwear and equipment, as well as unique waterproof systems available through our premium outdoor clothing brand Páramo. The business has successfully managed its way through the recent Covid 19 crisis and has ambitious growth and development plans for the future. We are looking for a Development Manager to support our very busy Group Product Area and contribute towards our ongoing success.

The Role

Increase the market share of Nikwax products by owning the development of all incremental product updates and improvements, whilst supporting the development of new innovative product by:

  • working alongside the Product Manager to manage the development of minimum viable product handed over from the innovation team
  • developing product key performance measures in line with market demands. Translating these into key communicable benefits and features for handover to the product information team
  • analysing and evidencing product testing results, and ensuring data and narrative is recorded in project and job decision lists
  • working within tight deadlines, leading, managing and coaching decision making within development projects
  • developing staff within the team, maximising their potential, and fulfilling the rigor of business needs
  • being responsible for the expenditure and resources within the development team.

The Person will be

  • organised with strong leadership skills
  • driven with technical and preferably some marketing experience
  • experienced in managing people
  • passionate about the environment and outdoor pursuits
  • educated to a degree standard in a technical subject.

Due to our rural location own transport will be required.

Join an innovative outdoor business as a Part-Time Filling & Packing Assistant

The Nikwax Group operates within the growing international Outdoor industry, providing a range of aftercare products for a variety of clothing, footwear and equipment, as well as unique waterproof systems available through our premium outdoor clothing brand Páramo. The business has successfully managed its way through the recent Covid 19 crisis and has ambitious growth and development plans for the future. We are looking for a Part-Time Filling & Packing Assistant to support our very busy Production team and contribute towards our ongoing success.

You will be required to work 25 hours per week, 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

The Role

To improve the return on investment in the Nikwax filling and packing team by:

  • filling, labelling and packing our products
  • meeting the team’s busy production schedules and orders
  • being able to set up production equipment and machinery and reporting faults with machinery as they occur
  • keeping the working areas and equipment clean and tidy and adhering to safe working practises.

The Person will be

  • a friendly and helpful team player
  • conscientious, with an eye for detail
  • able to use a computer with some basic IT skills
  • preferably experienced in working in a production environment, however this is not essential.

You will be working in a busy, industrious factory environment on the rural East Sussex/Kent border; due to the location you must have your own transport.
